International Student SDG Summit 2020

I feel very privileged to be selected to attend and participate in the International Student SDG Summit 2020.

The summit is being hosted by Envoys and brings together students from around the world to take part in designing, testing and iterating solutions to some of the world's pressing issues. The event will be guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and provide students with a framework for discussion, as well as an opportunity to learn more about themselves and how they may create lasting change within their own communities. SUMMARY We were faced with the ultimate challenge: In less than 48 hours … come up with a resolve; a sustainability issue in any aspect of society. GO!
This experience was an all-around game changer for the impact that youth can make on the world in the near future. There were incredible guest speakers that came in to grant us exclusive guidance of how to be a leader in our society by telling their stories, and I was especially excited about creating connections with peers in different countries all over the globe. With every passing second that brought us closer to the unfortunate end, I was feeling more and more empowered by the messages bestowed upon me.

FINAL My group’s Sustainable Development Goal was #10 –– Reduced Inequalities. In 48 hours we were able to provide our approach to tackling a specific aspect of this SDG of it –– Depoliticizing human rights (in order to mitigate the wealth disparity). The contents of our presentation can be found below.

Special shoutout to my 4 other group members for their significant efforts on this!
